Karen Gray - Head Coach 17N Black and Asst. 12N Black

Karen Gray Biographical Information

Karen Gray is currently the head Junior Varsity coach at Mountain Pointe High School.  Previously, she was the assistant Varsity volleyball coach at Hamilton High School as well as assisting with the Freshman and JV teams for two years. Karen began playing volleyball at age 14 and following a successful high school career in Maryland, she earned a full volleyball scholarship to Villanova, a Big East NCAA Dvision I program. As a 4 year starter at Villanova, Karen held the all-time kills record that stood for more than ten years and won several all-tournament awards as a middle blocker during her collegiate career.

After college, Karen played the middle blocker position for two USAV Open Nationals teams, including a team with former ASU players and a former Olympian.  She continues to play competitive volleyball.

This past 2011 club season, Karen head coached the Aspire 17N Black team, and assistant coached the Aspire 12N Black team who went undefeated during the regular AZ season, including winning the Colorado Crossroads NQ Tournament.
